Bereavement Support
Bereavement support follows the family for 13 months after the death of a loved one with phone calls, letters, bulletins and visits when requested.

Additional programs:

  • Monthly support groups at Berks VNA and VNA of Pottstown & Vicinity for hospice family members as well as the community at large.

Types of clients who require Bereavement Support:

  • People dealing with grief and loss issues

Outcomes and Benefits after receiving Psychiatric Nursing Care:

  • Spiritual peace and comfort to assist the family to move on with their lives

Experience or qualifications of our bereavement support staff:

  • Two (2) Chaplains with Masters of Divinity
  • Two (2) Medical Social Workers
  • Eight (8) volunteers specifically trained in hospice and bereavement work
