| Description: | Advantage Home Care is currently seeking to hire Caregivers to provide personal care and simple housekeeping chores to selected clients. Caregivers work under the supervision of the Registered Nurse, reports to the Team Leader or designee changes in the client’s condition or family situation, and is responsible to a. Instruct and carry out home safety b. Assist with completing bath in bathroom or chair c. Assist with bed bath d. Assist with partial bath e. Make bed f. Assist with positioning of client g. Give hair care and/or shampoo h. Assist with mouth/denture care i. Assist to dress j. Assist to bathroom or commode k. Assist in bedpan technique l. Clean and care drainage equipment m. Tidy client’s room n. Prepare meals o. Do personal laundry for client p. Encourage client to perform daily living activities to achieve maximum self-reliance q. Remind client to take medication r. Perform light housekeeping s. Go shopping or run errands nearby t. Provide Infant care Must be available 30 hours per week to receive work. We do not guarantee hours. Must be able to attend a 40 hour paid training held in the Wyomissing Office at 1170 Berkshire Blvd., Wyomissing from 8:00 am to 4:30 pm. Once the training is complete, we will assign work in the Pottstown service area. The remainder training schedule for 2010 is as follows: Monday, September 20 through Friday, September 24 Monday, October 18 through Friday, October 22 Monday, November 15 through Friday, November 19 Monday, December 13 through Friday, December 17 REQUIREMENTS Must have a valid Pennsylvania driver`s license, automobile insurance, available automobile during working hours and able to drive in all types of weather. Must be able to stand, walk, sit, lift without weight restrictions, relate to others, write, speak, make independent judgments, listen and use visual acuity and finger dexterity. |
